Herbazone’s Omega 3 & 6 Capsule has been formulated specifically to support and enhance the nutrition of people who do not get a sufficient amount of essential fatty acids in their daily diet.
Fatty Acids are considered essential, because they cannot be manufactured in the body and have to be supplied by the food we eat. The current refined western diet is very low in healthy essential fatty acids, but high in unhealthy fats. In addition, the high sugar content of the food interferes with the absorption of healthy fats. It is therefore almost certain that most people, including children, who live in the modern world are deficient in essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are nowadays called “the missing nutrients”, and their deficiency causes a wide range of illnesses, diseases and chronic symptoms.

A deficiency of essential fatty acids in the diet can present itself as a multitude of problems, including:
high cholesterol levels, dry skin conditions (eczema), cancer, attention deficit (hyperactivity)
disorder (ADD) , premenstrual syndrome, arthritis, hair loss, multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular (heart) diseases including high blood pressure, brittle nails, chronic fatigue, depression, dry eyes etc.

Omega 3 oils provide Alpha Linolenic Acid, while Omega 6 oils provide Linoleic and Gamma Linolenic Acids to the body. These fats are components of all cell membranes, and form barriers to protect the cell from bacteria and viruses, while regulating the transport of nutrients and waste products in and out of the cell. Essential fatty acids also act as precursors (building blocks) for a range of vital cell regulators called prostaglandins. Prostaglandins regulate the cell’s activity, while playing a vital role in the control of the inflammatory process, cardiovascular function and blood clotting. Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids each produce their own respective range of very distinct and specific prostaglandins with different individual functions, so that the correct combination of Omega 3 and 6 oils, is vital. Dosage: Take one to two capsules daily. For children, it is advisable to cut open the capsule,
express the content on a teaspoon and mix it with a little bit of condensed milk to mask the taste.
