HerbaZone Vitamin A & D Capsules (30’s)
Each capsule contains:
• Vitamin A Acetate 5mg / 500 IU
• Vitamin D3 5 mg/500 IU
HerbaZone Vitamin A & D capsules supplies additional amounts of these vital anti-ageing, fat soluble vitamins.
Vitamin A is especially important because it helps to maintain the integrity of the digestive tract,
lungs, mucous membranes and all cell membranes, preventing foreign substances from entering the
body, or viruses from entering cells. In addition Vitamin A is a potent antioxidant: Many foreign
substances produce free oxidizing radicals as part of their defense systems. Our own immune cells
produce free radicals to destroy foreign invaders. Antioxidants, like Vitamin A, help to protect the
body’s own cells against these free radicals. Vitamin A is especially important to promote skin
health, since it acts as an antioxidant to combat the effects of harmful elements on our skin, resulting
in a more youthful appearance and delaying the ageing process.
A deficiency in Vitamin D may lead to weak bones and muscles, cancer and obesity. Severe Vitamin D deficiency is called rickets, and is associated with ‘bow’ or ‘x’ shaped legs in children.
The legs ‘fold’ under the weight of the body’s weight, since the bones are too weak. It has been found to relieve depression* and prevent a multitude of diseases such as MS, Lupus, fibromyalgia and diabetes. Even though vitamin D can be made in the skin with sun exposure, numerous people are Vitamin D deficient due to lack of sun exposure or the use of sunscreens. Use HerbaZone Vitamin A & D in addition to your daily multi-vitamin.

Latest findings:
Vitamin D is a vital, mind boosting supplement. The lower your Vitamin D level, the more likely you are to feel depressed and unmotivated. Given that sunlight makes Vitamin D, and a lack of sunshine is linked to feeling low, it is hardly surprising to find that low Vitamin D levels in the winter is linked to low mood. A study in Australia found that those given 1000 IU ( = Vitamin A & D : 2 per day) Vitamin D supplements had an improvement in mood in only five days ! An absolute minimum of 500 IU per day is needed to guarantee an ideal blood level. (From: The feel good factor – Patrick Holford)
